Congratulations for getting engaged – we know just how emotional and huge this moment was in your life, and just how much you want to celebrate it! We also know that the beginning of the wedding planning process can feel utterly confusing and downright scary when you don’t know what to do about each of the steps – so we thought we could help you with a couple of tips.

What are some of the most important things to know about your engagement photo session in New Hampshire? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

  • Choose the best location. And mind you, that doesn’t mean you have to book the first flight out to Paris – it just means you should pick a location that looks pretty. Even more, it would be really nice if this were a location that means something for you (such as the park where you had your first date, for instance). Parks, urban settings, museums, restaurants, natural landscapes (like fields, vineyards, mountains, and so on) – they all work marvelously.
  • Choose your outfits attentively. You don’t have to go over the top here. Of course, you can wear a cocktail dress and your loved one can wear a suit – but only if the location is suitable for that. Even more, it’s recommended to coordinate your attires too – but it’s also important not to overdo it. Dressing in shade-for-shade similar outfits will not look good. Dressing in similar styles, in colors that complement each other – well, that’s an entirely different thing.
  • Get your manicure done. Most of these photos will be about that gorgeous ring on your finger – so celebrate its beauty by getting your manicure professionally done. It will look amazing in the photos, and it will make you feel pampered and nice too – so yes, it’s worth doing this.
  • Hire a great photographer. Just because this is not the actual wedding, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t hire a very good photographer who specializes in this kind of photo sessions. Even more, it would be great if you could hire your preferred wedding photographer too (doing this will help you see if you are compatible with them and if you should sign the contract with them for the Big Day).
