TEN IMPORTANT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS:-
For example some photographers are more formal and specialize in highly dramatic posed photos which you might prefer. Others approach the photos in a photojournalistic style. White Mountains Wedding Photography blends both styles with non-stop shooting the entire time we are at the ending telling a story of the wedding – a perfect balance between approx. 80% candids and 20% portraits that all look very natural.
White Mountains Wedding Photography always puts everything in writing in a signed contract so you know exactly what you are getting and there are never any hidden costs! And we are always happy to work with our clients to create a package that is just right for them and their budgets. After thirty years in business we know how important it is to create a package that is exactly what a bride and groom is looking for.
It is very important to choose a studio that wants to listen to you and will make your wedding day relaxed. There is no reason you should be thinking of anything like what photos are being taken on your special day. Your photographer should be asking you for a list of pictures that are essential to capturing your special moments. White Mountains Wedding Photography always has this supplemental list on hand which ensures you that no photo will be missed. While we know the standard photos to take since we have been shooting weddings for thirty years, we always are excited to hear what a bride and groom wants on their day…whether it is a photo of college friends, your kindergarten teacher or a special sunset shot!
It is so nice to have an engagement sitting with the photography studio that will be shooting your wedding. We always include an engagement session in your wedding package.
It is very important to have an understanding of how long your portrait session will take on your wedding day. Unfortunately we have all been to weddings where the bride and groom disappear for an extended period…they miss some important parts of their reception and everyone wonders what is taking so long! A portrait session handled by an experienced photographer should take no longer than 45 minutes. White Mountains Wedding Photography knows how to work quickly and efficiently to ensure that we get the important shots in a very timely way. Only a very experienced studio can take control of your portrait session, cover it all and get you to your guests quickly!
It is really nice to get to know your photographer a bit and understand his or her personality. This is one of the most important days of your life and you will want someone with you who LIKES WHAT THEY ARE DOING! This is not just a job for White Mountains Wedding Photography but it is our way of life…we really love witnessing the love and excitement that unfolds on a wedding day.
Sometimes a second photographer is necessary for example if you will be having over 300 or 400 guests. Typically a very experienced photographer can capture the entire event at a wedding efficiently by him or herself. White Mountains Wedding Photography prides itself in being very unobtrusive and loves to blend into the wedding day. Sometimes less really is more…but if a second photographer is important to you we will add one to your package!
It is always nice if your photographer is familiar with your wedding venue. This ensures that you will get great photos and sometimes there are hidden spots that only a photographer who has been to your reception spot before will know about. White Mountains Wedding Photography has shot thousands of weddings over the years and we can almost guarantee we have been to your reception spot!
IF IT RAINS ON THE WEDDING DAY..if it rains that should not be a problem for a professional photographer who will move quickly and efficiently to find the best spots indoors to get most of the photos. And we actually have gotten some amazing, award winning photos outdoors in the rain. Your photographer just needs to be creative and willing to think a bit outside the box.
It is very important to you to have a signed contract that has every detail of your wedding package included so there are no surprises down the road and no hidden costs. A good photographer will want this for you and should be willing to work with you to create a great package that is just right for you. You should never be locked into preconceived packages that include items that you don’t want. Nor should anything be left unsaid.
Here at White Mountains Wedding Photography, we genuinely believe every wedding is beautiful and unforgettable in its own way. And that is precisely why we always strive to create amazing wedding photos that capture the grandeur and grace of these moments in people’s lives. And we always want to help our brides and grooms truly SHINE on…
